Trevon Diggs Update: Cowboys Star Suffers Mysterious Home Incident, Jerry Jones ‘Not Sure What Happened’

🏈 Trevon Diggs’ “Home Accident” Has Cowboys Fans (and Jerry Jones) Confused

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs missed Sunday’s game after suffering an incident in what the team described as “an accident at home.”
And that’s it. That’s the whole explanation.

Now, when the words “accident at home” come from an NFL team, fans immediately start wondering: Did he trip over a dog? Did a ceiling fan catch him off guard? Did he lose a fight with his PlayStation?

Cowboys offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer broke the news, but the details only got murkier when team owner Jerry Jones chimed in.

“I’m not so sure I know the detail of how that happened,” Jones told reporters. “Normally, we’d see it on TV, but in this case, it was unrecorded.”

Translation: Jerry Jones is just as confused as the rest of us.

Jones did say Diggs told him what happened, but added,

“You’re not always the best viewer of what happened to you.”

In other words, Trevon might’ve explained it — but whatever he said sounded like a riddle.

Still, Jones insisted Diggs will be back soon, and Schottenheimer echoed the optimism, saying,

“I’m a Trevon fan. I’m excited to get him back.”

So once Diggs clears protocol (and maybe bubble-wraps his living room), he could return next week against the Broncos.

Until then, fans can only speculate what went down at Casa de Diggs.
Maybe it was a freak treadmill accident. Maybe a rogue ceiling beam. Or maybe—just maybe—the Commanders sent a Roomba.
